This is one of the first two stages we created. The second stage and the fifth stage were the first two we created. You’ll notice there are no objects in either of these two stages, it’s all sand effects and stuff. The fifth stage is just forest. We were learning the hardware and we weren’t sure what we could do, and it had the dual processors, so we wondered if the hardware were going to be able to do what we wanted. So we thought “What should we do? It’s too plain,” but we had to consider the CPU specs, but wanted it to look cool. So we figured a tornado would look cool but not demand too much from the CPU.
